On another note, caught the 13.45 X2 Preston-Liverpool yesterday, this service is timmed for just under 30 minutes run Formby-Crosby[departs Formby 15.12, departs Crosby 15.39], but actually arrived in Crosby 10 minutes early, main reason being Quarry Road going through Thornton wasn't the usual nightmare that time of day around School chucking out time, because of the traffic, has been known to wait for anything up to 3 to 4 cycles to get through those traffic lights at the Green Lane & Edge Lane junctions.
