Subsidy is current spending, which is automatically seen as bad as it benefits those with poor wealth and/or poor health, who in turn have no lobby, are despised (or simply denied) by the "Judas" Media and either always vote Labour, or increasingly (like me) consider the 10 minute walk to the Polling Station a total waste of 10 minutes.
