An interesting unit in service is 150209 which is formed of 57209 and 57212 neither of which has toilets. These two carriages have for many years operated on Great Western as the middle part of a three car unit. Lately they operated in 150925/26. The original 52209 and 57212 were damaged beyond economic repair after accidents at Thirsk (I think) and St Helens Central. The new 150209 is operating on the Rochdale to Blackburn service with a 153 obviously for toilet facilities. At the moment it is 153316. All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles |
