Electric Bus on demonstration with M & H, Trefnant, Denbigh.

OP02ARE is an Optare Solo M890EV (all electric) demonstrator. From today M and H is trialling this vehicle. It was seen today working the 66 Henllan and Denbigh town services but it is believed that it will also see use on the 76 Denbigh - Llandyrnog - Ruthin - Graigfechan service. Last week this vehicle was with Lloyds of Machynlleth. It was originally registered YJ13HKY when the vehicle was new to Optare in July 2013.

No doubt its appearance in the area follows the announcement by the government in August that £11 million is to be given between six local authorities under the government’s ‘Low emission bus scheme’ to help them buy 153 cleaner buses. Denbighshire is set to receive £500,000 of this pot and is expected to provide four electric buses to be used in the mid part of the County.

I have a website which looks at the bus and coach operators in North East Wales. There are current fleetlists for all operators and most have a full historic fleet list.
Included are current depot fleet lists for Arriva Cymru. There are also a number of ceased opertators with historic fleet lists including the GHA Group
The address and a link is www.Ronsbusesandcoaches.com
