To make one 3 car would mean a lot of work, it is possible but easier to do a 321, probably why that happened! In the end it was touch and go whether there would be any money for even a modest refurb, which thankfully the initial batch of 319/3's got. When the first few came North in ex Thameslink condition they could best be described as tatty. SD. |
