I too thought I saw a decker. I'd took the dog for a walk only catching a glance of the rear off side top deck. Ashton bound at Tesco Haydock 3.10pm or so.

Slightly off topic but are arriva still using the wayfarer 200 ticket machines? A few drivers I know who work at winsford & macclesfield depots respectively have said that they've got a tendency to freeze up quite regularly. Then requires resetting the machine which takes a good few minutes apparently.

Both drivers i've spoken to said they'd much prefer the optima bl ticket machines from almex which are apparently a lot simpler to use (according to a mate who drives for first).
