RE: Stagecoach Manchester
22232 is the last remaining X-reg MAN at ST and was in the Depot yesterday (best place for it!)

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
22229 and 22231 were both on Middleton routes 112 and/or 114 and/or 118 yesterday. 22186 was on the 114. The 114 is a new route to me. Many depots, including Wigan 19520/22, were active on Metrolink replacement journeys.

On another tack I saw 11 Enviro400s in the new Magic Bus livery 19223/4/5/6/9/30/1/3/8/9/43. They seem to be repainting just the Sharston examples so I imagine 19232/4/7 and 19241 are lined up. There must be a lot of Tridents and others to be withdrawn.

It's actually 22236 which is X reg complete with the moderner grey plastic moduler seating that the rest of the X reg batch have. It's had it's dot matrix blinds replaced with LED's which makes it resemble one of the 06 reg ones.
22236 was on late 236/237's last night complete with internal adds for Wigan riders.

Obviously they might have gained an 06 reg example too but 22236 is deffiantly at AZ Smile

19232/4/7/41 are indeed already in Magic Bus livery, with further examples still to be done. They are replacing non-standard Tridents, as well as the Spectras. As already reported these have been piling up at Wigan for a few weeks now.

No. As stated these observations were yesterday. The Metrolink replacement services were still in operation with no trams running through Victoria. I think I saw a notice at Shudehill stating that the last day was in fact yesterday with operations back to normal today.

It was on the 325 yesterday-sounded fine to me. Mind you 22132 sounded fine to me in Stockport in August last year.Within a few months it had gone with indecent haste for scrap

I saw 17647 slightly away from a bus stop in Piccadilly Gardens with a police vehicle blocking it's 'departure' at about half ten last night. Don't know what if anything was going on.

Just because it sounded fine once upon a time, doesn't mean it ended up like that....

I don't know the details of 22132, but it could so easily have suffered major engine failure (e.g. piston detachment), had a minor fire, etc etc. It's also possible that the engine wasn't the problem but that it suffered chassis corrosion/rotting/cracking.

At the end of the day, it's up to Stagecoach what they do with their ELVs and when, so please stop going on about how quick they're disposed of.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
The final Olympian with Stagecoach Manchester has been taken out of Service, 16798. Lot of *idle gossip* floating around regarding its future so will hold back until stuff's confirmed. I think its even left Middleton Depot today!
