All things considered how have Warrington Coachways kept these routes for so long and who will be taking over, hopefully someone with buses that are actually fit for service

RE: Warrington Coachways
It might be a possibility that the service will go to Arriva. Not 100%, but that's who I reckon. Saw a Transit running the services a couple of times, thought it was odd.

Arriva did those routes for many years, the last few times i used it the allocation was a transit or an old mercedes mini bus, even the ticket machine didn`t work.

Aye they did. Hopefully Arriva will retain this service.

RE: Warrington Coachways
Doubt there being a replacement as these routes are commercial and Arriva withdrew from these routes years because they weten't profitable enough. Also doubt thete being a subsidised replacement as Network Warrington's 5 covers most of route.

RE: Warrington Coachways
I wouldn't be surprised if Warrington's 5 were extended hourly to Altrincham with funding from Manchester, with the other 5 each hour being curtailed to Lymm, and with the 37(A) having no replacement.

RE: Warrington Coachways
As said above it was a commercial service so very much doubt anyone will take it over.

RE: Warrington Coachways
Quite confusing looking at the timetables as there are two timetables for services 37, 37A and 38. One of which is listed as Warrington Coachways, the other being Warrington Borough Transport.

Both timetables display if you choose today's date but only the WBT one does after end of July. Times on both timetables are the same times.

It's either a mistake or WBT are going to step in to maintain the Warrington-Altrincham link.

RE: Warrington Coachways
So it now makes sense what M60lad was saying about drivers looking forward to the 26th. Now we know the company isn't shutting as such but are throwing in the towel.

The only time they seemed to take this service seriously was when Fairway ran in competition with them, the smart route branded Primo's appeared and there seemed to be days when WC actually ran every journey in a day, it dosen't happened often these days and the vehicle situation at the moment is poor to say the least.

Hopefully other exsisting services will be extended or another operator will give them a go as clearly there are people who reley on this service.

What's the chances of Warrington Coachways actually running these services till the 27th lol
