Really very sad that Bally has died so soon after diagnosis. Cancer is truly horrible and it's taken its toll on a fair few of my family in recent years.

British comedian and actor Rik Mayall has died aged 56, according to his manager.

He had suffered with a long illness since 2008 after suffering a severe stroke .

One of the programmes that made him famous was the Rockford Files .

Actress Dora Bryan has passed away at the age of 91, I would imagine that only the more mature members would know of her work. I'm sure some members like myself will have heard the name but are not familiar with much of her work.
