RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
Wow, I was not expecting that at all! NEW buses at Wrexham!!! It would have been 6.5 years since the Pulsars had been delivered come March/April 2015

Well yeah the Pulsars where new in January 2009 so yeah it will be...its about time though in my opinion Wrexham never gets anything new unlike Rhyl and Bangor so its about time some investment was put into Wrexham :-')

10.2m StreetLites seat 37 so Wrexham might be getting some of those. The equivalent Enviro200 seats 37 in 10.8m (or 10.9, around there anyway) so it's on the boundary of the length restriction.

About time something new was brought in. 10 seems an odd number though given the number of darts that will need replacing soon. If they're 37 seaters I'd expect them to be utilised mainly on the 3/4, 7/8 and 32/33 corridors. Something to look forward to at least. We might have a reasonably modern fleet then!

Also good news about 4421. In fairness the Enviro400's reliability has improved greatly as the maintenance staff at Caego have got used to them. Not having a spare (apart from 2799) was always a silly idea. Might help with punctuality now as well which is still a major problem.

Ill try and get it confirmed soon on what they are, i think its more than likely to be E20D's to be quite honest.

They are to be used on the 3/4 32/33 but the PVR of that is 7 so that leaves 3 vehicles to operate the other Services, but they will go on anything as there being purchased for Wrexham not specifically for 3/4/ 32/33 so will be really nice also the LJ51*** Darts will stay till there 16 if not older as they are DDA Compliant Smile

Caego were used to them anyway they went through a 4 week Engineering program for the Enviro 400's so they where used to them before they even arrived, they are just genuinely terrible and no doubt 4421 wont be any different it broke down 10 minutes from St Helens on delivery 2 weeks back hence why it came by low loader. well really one spare bus is all you need really Caego didnt actually know they where going to be this terrible although i said we should of had 4400-4410 in the first place as i knew how terrible they were before they arrived, silliest idea of the whole Sapphire was using them clapped out things anyway cause i think many will agree they were ruined before they left LS!

I don't know about the ones you have but the Bootle ones don't appear to have any reliability problems and are out daily.

The ones at Bootle are fine 4421/22 were brilliant when they were still at LS but they will probably go downhill now, but even before 4402-4410 got here they were awful when 4401 came on Type training it broke down surely that says enough. But hopefully sooner or later Wrexham's Sapphire will get new buses hopefully.

Yes but the Solo's where not new to Wrexham depot itself and were drafted in from Aberystwyth. The Pulsars where actually new to us thats what we are getting at.

Yes but Bangor get anything they want same as Rhyl all im saying is Wrexham needs investment and its about time we got it to.

Yes and how reliable and helpful have they been? two weeks ago 4030,0920,2799 and 0690 were operating Service one....

Its E20D's i found out last night, well the supervisor of Wrexham a good friend of mine says ''the modern Dart'' as he knows nothing about buses but i think we all know that can only be E20Ds
