I'll say 7656 which is an excellent Marshall. It would be nice to see an MTL bus new to Green Lane preserved |

It's a nice bus with few rattles, however it has a poorly gearbox (a lot of over-revving, especially off of the line) and has done for a few weeks at least, so I can't see it lasting much longer - and, if it was preserved, a new gearbox would probably be needed sooner or later! Today I've see 7625 at Southview Road near Sealand Road Chester just before 1pm, I've spotted that rear of 7625 have little black smoke while they running up the hill. |

7652 has now arrived at St Helens for remedial work to the gearbox and eventual repaint into Yorkshire Tiger livery. 7651 nearing completion. |

Does anybody actually understand the history of Yorkshire Tiger? If I'm correct in believing that Arriva now own it 100% why do they maintain a separate brand? Is it because they are a low cost operation with a largely time expired fleet such as the Marshalls? |

I have heard that when they acquire companies now they are keeping them as a separate identity. A bit like the acquisition of Wardle Transport in Stoke-On-Trent. If only they had had this policy in February 2000! |
