The founder of iconic British food company, Pukka Pies, has died aged 83.

Trevor Storer, who set up the firm in his kitchen in 1963, died peacefully at home, a spokesman said.

So, today has not been a Perect Day after all. He was a gifted songwriter, and other songs like Walk on the Wild Side will never be forgotten.

He was a gifted songwriter but my last memory of him will be the awful collaboration with Metallica, terrible album and the only album involving Metallica that will never see the light of day again.

British actor Lewis Collins, who played Bodie in ITV crime drama The Professionals, has died aged 67.

Born in Bidston as well, before moving to London to follow a career in acting.

Fond memories of him screeching around the streets in a 3.0 litre Ford Capri in The Professionals (there are probably clips on You Tube).
