They will be taking place on Tuesday afternoon (8 October) at Lees Library, Thursday outside the Commercial Hotel in Uppermill and on Saturday in Delph.

One issue that will probably be on the agenda will be the reduction of the 180 last October to an hourly service, which didn't go down well with some people in Saddleworth.

Got the dates for the Uppermill and Delph meetings wrong in the original post. The Uppermill meeting will be this Saturday (not Thursday as previously stated) between 1030 and 1530 outside the Commercial Hotel and in Delph next Tuesday (15 October) between 1600 and 2000 at the Methodist Church.

There's also an online survey for those who can't make it or wish to get their message across, be it opinions, criticisms of services or any suggestions.

Doesn't look good for the 180, maybe it would be more successful if it did a circular route down Manchester Road or even to Mosley. I think it could be successful if it served more area, at the moment its proximity to the main road with 184 service running so frequently is a real pain, but they could attract more people.

Why are First asking about services 81/81A? Are they planning on reducing frequencies? That would be giving in to Stagecoach/JPT in Moston/Harpurhey. Or cutting the service short at Lees instead of going to Holts?

RE: First Manchester
Might be tied in with 40406 being withdrawn after its incident in Middleton Bus Station but yesterday afternoon I noticed Oldham Depot's remaining Wright Crusader Dart 40416 being driven by a fitter down Ashton Road towards Ashton, was wondering if it might have been heading towards Dukinfield as a replacement for 40406

Also some odd workings from Pioneer yesterday saw the remaining Dennis Arrow there and a Plaxton SLF both out on 348/350 circuit

They continue tonight with one of the KLF Olympians on late 348/350's.

Surly there's a low floor bus that could have been used?
