Pulsar 1428 was on the X66 today. MPD 1753 replaced 4045 on the X1/X2 after 4045 broke down on its first trip on the X1 towards Durham. It was replaced by 4038 upon arrival in Middlesbrough and ended up on the 28/30.

RE: Arriva North East
Viewed Thorntons of North Seaton today and noted these ALX400 DAFs freshly outshopped in full Arriva blue livery -

W402 VGJ carrying fleet number 7473
X503 GGO no fleet number
Y497 UGC no fleet number

I am just wondering if the latter two are replacements for the vehicles due to become 7469/71, as these two seem to be the only ones of batch 7466-78 not reported so far. Of course they may be destined for another Arriva fleet altogether.

Also there was Y481 UGC still in London red. Maybe 7479 ??

Finally, the batch of Wright-bodied Volvo B6's are still parked there, the ones originally from Southport which were supposedly transferred to Northumbria from Scotland West about a year ago. I was able to confirm the identities of 10 of them but there were more parked in the middle of the yard.

I must find something better to do on a Saturday night !!

The 7466-7478 batch has already been reported, but for people that missed it:
7466 = W396VGJ - Blyth
7467 = W397VGJ - Ashington
7468 = X437FGP - Ashington
7469 = X447FGP - Reported for Blyth
7470 = X504GGO - Reserve at Jesmond
7471 = W392VGJ
7472 = W401VGJ - Ashington
7473 = W402VGJ
7474 = W403VGJ - Reserve at Jesmond
7475 = Y482UGC - Ashington
7476 = W398VGJ - Reserve at Jesmond
7477 = W404VGJ - Durham
7478 = X434FGP - Durham

That suggests those three are 7479-81, as those 3 are the only ones that we don't know the registrations for.

As for those B6BLEs, they are in effect knackered after being sat there for nearly enough 18 months now. There was rumours at one point that some of them would converted into the next trainers for the division but that is now reported to be the V-reg Coaches instead, so it's likely the B6s will be sold off once their book value is low enough.

Ah, right. I thought the batch was only going up to 7479.

My point about 7469/71 was that they seemed to be the only two whose registrations had not yet been verified by observation. Anyway, looks like the whole batch, apart from the red one, should be on the road quite soon.

Those registrations were verified by an Arriva Fleetlist reporter. As only 7466-8/72/5/7 have entered service so far and 7470/4/6/8 have been reported as arriving at their new homes (Jesmond's five are reportedly earmarked for this Summer's Metro Replacment work).

Stockton depot has been all over the place today with vehicle changeovers:

1911 and 1457 have been on the 21a (1457 is still out tonight on the 5B)
4056 (replaced by 1457 on the 21a) ended up on the 29
1445 was swapped with 4054 to operate the last Stockton working on the 5 while 4054 worked a 27 to Netherfields

Meanwhile, Durham currently have a Pulsar and 7477 out on the X1 this evening.
