RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Services 50 and X58 will run diverted routes tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday due to the two funerals that'll take place for PCs Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone. Diversions on the 50 will take place from 10am until 3.30pm tomorrow and from 7am to 3.30pm on Thursday with buses diverted via Great Bridgewater Street, Liverpool Road and Trinity Way instead of John Dalton Street and Bridge Street. X58 morning journeys will run via Whitworth Street and Oxford Street instead of Lower Mosley Street. http://www.stagecoachbus.com/serviceupda...px?Id=5782 |

Loans/transfers from Hyde Road to Sharston, Ashton, then others going to Hyde Road. One minute they're all leaving, next they're staying. Why Ashton would take on a MAN now, I don't know, especially now all the Enviro300's are home from London. |

To a certain degree you don't know what's going to turn up where. Although all 15 Enviro400's are back at AZ there's still some very strange workings. Both the 346 and 347 are a mix of Enviro200's and Enviro400's. The odd MAN crops up on peak 347's. The 236/237 is a similar mix of 200s/400's, yet last week MANs crept back onto both - although MANs still do some peak journeys on both! The odder sight has been 33174 which seems to appear on anything. Last week I posted about it being on the 217, yesterday it was on the 346! Tonight's evening service 236 was done with an Enviro400 instead of the usual Enviro200, and the 347 was the same. Even 40660 took a turn in service on Saturday when the usual Solo failed in Glossop, the Solo had to be recovered by a huge GM recovery truck. On a negative note, I spotted two Stagecoach drivers still using the old Sunday stands in Ashton, a whole month after the changes took place. |

Saw 33174 on 183 for few days and now its run by a MAN ever so often, not many passengers use the 183 at all and the dart is the appropriate bus to be used really. 40660 shouldn't really be used on the 390 as what are wheelchair users supposed to do if they haven't got that low floor solo they need if they want to go to Glossop clinic in Old Glossop? plus that ALX dart 34080 has been withdrawn so that wouldn't have been there to replace 47559. The 346 has a early working which is a solo that does the 342/4 after the 346 and most probs 33174 did the 342/4 too as ive seen 47622 coming out of Mottram Dead. |
