Bit of a shame the E7 is ending in Ellesmere Port and only small vehicles are planned to be used on 6/6A. Catch the deckers while you can!

Yeah, I'm sure they'll have at least two for the 2A school runs, working onto and off 2s.
But you probably won't get them on the 6/6A route from 20th January, unless there are vehicles needing repairs etc.

Noticed the new routes don’t run via Regent Street - is another service getting rerouted to cover this section? Perhaps the 23?

There is a change to the 23's route and timetable on the same day, so could well be.

A friend of mine at Chester Depot said they got 2 buses on the 1/X1 like Chester used to have with the 1/2 years ago, supposedly 2 of there current Scania's will be used and if unavailable be substituted for a E200MMC

The scanias are apparently leaving Chester soon, unsure when they are going and what’s replacing them

Also when does the 6 in Ellesmere Port go to Solo operations?
