Thing is though, if it is just a timetable change, surely there would be changes registered for the 140 as well.

Could well be as the interwork, unless it is a very minor change!

That is the only problem with VOSA info, sometimes it can raise more questions than it answers!

One thing I've noticed though, that 141 change is valid from 8th October (which is the Monday), so far all the Sunday service changes start from the 7th October so maybe it really is just an alteration to the weekday daytime service - that or they've got the dates one day out!

Very interesting development from Ace, it does indeed look like they've decided to take out a commercial venture on the Maghull Circulars. Wonder what Merseytravel do next...

Wasn't there some talk of this after Cumfybus commercialised something that had already been awarded to Ace though?

I think there was, talk of this after they were unhappy that Cumfybus had been awarded the tenders for the routes. Their one starts 22nd October though, with Cumfy's contract starting on 8th October so there will still be a couple of weeks with Cumfy.

I wouldn't expect any change right away though, Merseytravel aren't allowed to subsidise a route competing with a commercial but I guess there is the risk if they withdraw it (and so have to compensate Cumfybus for shortening the contract) Ace might then go and withdrawn/alter their commercial one too so they would be ack to square one!

What is strange is there is a registration then alteration to the timetable for the same day!
