Fairbrothers flooding the Bewsey/Dallam area and Network Warrington doing the same isn't helping anyone.
Whereas there will soon be no service on routes 23 and 23A - and Network Warrington can't flood every route.

Following the collapse of Warrington Coachways neither Fairbrothers or G.H.A. (who subsequently registered duplicate 16 and 45 services) weren't interested in bidding for the Altrincham-Warrington services, despite Warrington BC, Cheshire East and TfGM all putting up money to subside the services. Why are operators more interested in running duplicate services in Dallam than running links between Warrington and other nearby towns?

I see what you mean but the 5 duplicate buses that they are throwing on Dallams will simply be moved elsewhere. Wherever Fairbrothers go, Network Warrington will go x2. The whole of route 23/23A is covered. Though by different slower services, it is still covered. Network Warrington can easily dupe short hopped 17s and 25s using these buses. Fairbrothers only have 2 buses to spare (If you mean withdrawing 16T & 16H) while if Network Warrington withdrew 16 dupes and threw them elsewhere, that is 5 buses you can use. That is plus any buses which could be in the depot. Moving areas doesn't solve the issue, Every inch of Warrington is covered. Quite literally! No where to go where NW can't flood you. The only way you could do anything is cross city avoiding town centre but is there any money doing things not via town?

I don't know about GHA as they had the system but I don't know if Fairbrothers have signed up to Cheshire Easts tender system. With GHA they would probably just not have tendered but Fairbrothers may not have known about the opportunity so may not have put in a price. The local areas around Warrington aren't very populated or are very car orientated. No one would make money. Network Warrington will do anything for 50p as it all goes into the councils pocket and not a smaller independent.

Also, where do they try to run to from Warrington? Widnes (flooded), St Helens (not flooded but Link already operate), Newton-Le-Willows/Earlestown (not busy), Birchwood (Fairbrothers tried previously), Runcorn (Flooded once you get there + 6 bph already along different routes). Where is there close by where you can run which is busy and not already flooded. There are only a few openings available all of which are along flooded corridors out of Warrington.

It was one joint contract for two routes with Warrington BC issuing the ITT, as the authority providing the greatest share of the funding. It was reported on here when Warrington Coachways collapsed that the owner of Fairbrothers said he wasn't interested in running the services to Altrincham.

I've no idea if Fairbrothers (or Howards for that matter) tried to get the 47 when WBC awarded a contract for a limited Warrington to High Legh service (following the withdrawal of the Cheshire East contract), that one would have been easy for a small operator to run it in between a morning and afternoon school/college run.
