Lisbon buses
A bit specialised this one. Although I don't "spot" buses per se when abroad, although I did have a go in the Netherlands back in the late 80s(!), I do record details of any pcvs I travel on when I'm on holiday. I've just come back from Lisbon and wondered if anyone could fill in the gaps: The first one is easy; Carris (the local Operator) 4650 regd 11-JM-80 is a Citaro artic (0.530G?), but does anyone know the seating capacity? The other two were at the Airport: 1. 97-FV-93 an inter-terminal transfer bus is a Volvo of some kind, but can anyone expand on that? The branding suggests these buses are run by the Airport authority (VINCI). 2. 02-GF-105 is a Cobus 3000 on airside work. This seems to be contracted to a firm called Groundforce - who weren't impressive on this occasion, btw - and had a "fleetnumber" 20-052. Various airside vehicles had 20- prefixes, so this might be Airport related. Can anyone confirm this is run by Groundforce, rather than VINCI. As an aside, do the first two digits on Portuguese Regn plates signify vehicle age (similar system to Eire)? This just about makes sense as the Citaro was apparently numerically the last of 50 ordered in 2010. Mind you, the Volvo would have been wearing its 20 years well, although shuttling between Airport terminals in semi retirement isn't the same as climbing Lancashire Hill (Stockport) with 90 passengers on board on a wet Thursday evening rush hour lol. |
