There has been suggestions the Lowlanders are expected to last a few more years at Bangor yet due to the nature of work they do and lack of suitable replacements at the right age. Remember the Volvo Olympians were hanging very late after a lot of newer stuff had departed the main fleet.

They could have simply been replaced by Presidents on the same Chassis but newer as well as the many newer Volvo B7TLs.

ex London deckers were rejected for the Bangor work previously due to the lower seating (DLAs) which resulted in the Vollys hanging in longer than expected and Lowlanders sourced from ARRIVA Midlands and not from the NW fleet.

I think lloyds will try & get the express work it currently operates out of dolgellau, 33 , 35, 38,39 , not sure about some routes out of Caernarfon plus you got Snowdon sherpa network to cover, i think arriva might pick up more yet, is bangor depot big enough for at least 15 buses or would they open another outstation

Perhaps they will have a Holyhead outstation on par with 10 years ago which could of course accommodate the 544 and 546 college runs and some of the 4/4A/X4 diagrams to free space back at Bangor. Pwllheli couldn't hold much extra but the S97 which they do on a Sunday only would be good work to gain on other days.

I can see Llew Jones gets in on the act more towards the Conwy Valley in terms of possible extra work for Llandudno outstation.

I guess time will tell!

I thought Express Motors were allowed to re-open under a new operating name?

As i have said on Facebook their new License Application is still under consideration so chances are these tenders are being awarded just in case Express Motors do fold, For now it is possible they will continue into 2018.
