Very limited service on the Mid-Cheshire line on Friday (3 return workings) but slightly better on Monday. Apparently Mid-Cheshire trains are staffed by Victoria drivers and ATW guards on strike days, meaning they have to be class 150s. |

As a little compensation though, the line does appear to have a replacement bus service which appear to be more frequent than the trains on the Friday. |

So turns out part of the reason for the RMT strike being called for Friday is to try and disrupt the annual Blackpool illuminations switch on. |
