Im not sure that it was going to be a three week closure , was the rock fall earlier this year that caused all services to be disrupted the cause of the extension.

It was never intended to be a full closure of 3 weeks,the wall collapse in February this year hasn't altered the plans for the 10 days or so full closure

If its anything like the loop closure there will now be a big public relations exercise to get everything out to the public .

There are already long signs across the barrier building on platform 1 to 6 advertising it so when you are going on or off trains in those platforms it is right there in your face.Bound to be those who come the first day haven't got a clue about it

It is going to be a massive exercise for Network Rail , Northern , TPX , East Midlands , London Midland and Virgin Trains to get the message out .

Just like Merseyrail found the day of reckoning comes round quite quickly.

Virgin services are going to use P4 at LSP and reverse, which I would have mentioned in the spanner in the works leaflet to stop the cord being pulled when the train sets off in the "wrong" direction.
