American singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka, who wrote and performed hits through the 1950s and 60s, including Oh! Carol, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Bad Blood, Laughter in the Rain and Calendar Girl, has died at the age of 86. |

Former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell has died at the age of 64. The guitarist played with the band from 1984 up until the band disbanded following the death of frontman Lemmy Kilmister in 2015. RIP. |

Former actor John Alford, a star of Grange Hill and London's Burning has been found dead in his cell at HMP Bure in Norfolk, he was aged 54. Originally known for his role as the rebellious first year Robbie Wright in Grange Hill (a role he continued until 1989) his best-known role was in the LWT drama London's Burning where he played firefighter Billy Ray. By 1996 this role had launched his profile so much he launched a career as a pop singer. He continued this acting role he continued up until 1998 when he was dismissed from the show after supplying cocaine to Mazher Mahmood, an undercover News of the World reporter and convicted of drugs offences in 1999. At the time of his death, he was serving an 8 year sentence for sexually assaulting two teenage girls. |

Martial artist turned Hollywood action star Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86. Former BBC Radio 4 presenter Dame Jenni Murray who hosted BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour has died at the age of 75, joining the program in 1987 until she left in 2020. RIP to both. |

US actor Nicholas Brendon, renowned for his starring role in the cult TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died aged 54. Brendon's family confirmed in a statement on social media, external "he passed in his sleep of natural causes". Brendon played Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer over seven seasons between 1997 and 2003. |
