I don't know where your £11 figure has come from. First Cornwall were already advertising a £9 day ticket and a £28 weekly ticket that is also valid on all Stagecoach, Go Cornwall, Hopleys, OTS and Travel Cornwall services in Cornwall. They're also promoting £3 multi-operator day tickets valid within certain towns.

So it seems Cornwall had launched the multi-operator day ticket anyway and are using the fund to cut the cost significantly.

The current fare structure was brought in in Jan 2022. Prior to all of the Govt funding (so pre March 2020), First Cornwall fares were much higher for day tickets.

In 2019, fares were set at £15 adult day ticket (or £13 if bought on the app). The multi operator ticket was £18.

But it seems even without the current award of awarding Cornwall would have a £9 all-operator day ticket as that had already been put in place. How much fares were 3 years ago is irrelevant now.

Both Andy Burnham and Steve Rotheram are going are to ask for more money then DfT will give them.
