Read in todays Liverpool Echo that demolition works on the Churchill way flyovers will commence from September 2 the first phase will be removal of the 3 pedestrian footbridges underneath then progressing onto demolition of the flyovers themselves with work scheduled to be completed by December. This will result in phased closures of Byrom Street and Hunter Street along with the Liverpool bound lanes of the Queensway tunnel. Pity that these flyovers could not be saved.

Churchwill Way flyovers going a good or a bad thing .
One thing that the roadworks are going to do is make Liverpool City Centre a no go area and more like a car park .
