Tates Travel - SF07 - 08/02/2016 19:10 It's been announced today (8 February) that the South Yorkshire-based company Tates Travel has ceased trading as of the end of today. Hardly surprising given the strange ways in which they operated and of course the 'forign investors'. I was unaware until this afternoon that Tates were up before the TC last summer and had one of their licences revoked. RE: Tates Travel - childwallblues - 10/02/2016 21:27 Stagecoach have taken over a number of services on emergency tenders RE: Tates Travel - Jack - 11/02/2016 18:36 TM Travel also have taken on at least 1 service. RE: Tates Travel - SF07 - 11/02/2016 18:54 TM Travel have taken on service 300, Arriva have taken over the 29B, 157, 443 and 485 and Stagecoach take over all remaining services except 96, 96A and 97, which still remains without operators. Stagecoach have adapted some of the services, as the 23 will not serve Langsett, service 24 will not run into West Yorkshire, terminating at Ingbirchworth, while service 92 is split with the Penistone-Holmfirth section of the route covered by the 25 at a reduced frequency. RE: Tates Travel - SF07 - 15/02/2016 19:47 Most services have been taken over now:
RE: Tates Travel - Mayneway - 15/02/2016 23:52 Things seem even odder now as Globe travel which was very much associated with Tates Travel are still operating and have been very quick to distance themselves from the Tates fiasco and were quick to jump on social media sites to stress they were in no way connected to tates and only shared a yard. Yet Globe have taken on some of the Tates work including several school services and are apparently using some of Tates vehicles and have taken on Some of the drivers left jobless last week when tates closed. Is it just me that finds all this very odd?? It seemed ironic in 2014 seeing ex-Stagecoach buses still with Stagecoach moquette rubbing shoulders with current Stagecoach stock! |
