Wallasey Corporation history - Bevan Price - 02/12/2015 19:59 For anyone interested in Wallsasey Corporation, the Omnibus Society has just published a new book by the late Bruce Maund - "A history of the Wallasey Corporation Motor Bus Undertaking, 1920 - 1969". It covers all aspects of the services, with route maps at various years, including a map of the proposed (but never implemented) trolleybus routes. There is a selection of bus photos from the first AEC Y type in 1920 through to the Atlanteans. It has a summary of the bus fleet, but not a detailed history for every single bus. At £17.50 for 176 pages (A5 size), it may seem a bit expensive, but books on specialised subjects always cost more to produce than pulp fiction.
