You would think so, but it still creates a jam between the fly over and just past Sainsburys as all the cars move over to not go in the bus lane. Then also the lane in the vale is prone to parked vans for the businesses there and minor road works like has been there recently for BT. Not saying you have had a false experience but as a car driver living in the area I rarely see a night were traffic is not held up there.

I also have a car and used to live in Kirkby so that was my main way home every night, the flyover to just past sainsbury's can be queued up every night it's true, but it shouldnt be too bad for an empty bus to get to Old Roan providing that there is enough time given.

Sounds like its the most likely idea, if the proposal to reroute the evening/Sunday 149 was rejected (especially removing it from Holts).

Route change is to do with Pendleton Way closing from next week and bus stops relocated to Hankinson Way (opposite side to existing stops), meaning that buses will stop on Hankinson Way in both directions.

I've been advised that some of the Newton peak journeys won't serve Landside.
