Just checked at the bus stop, and the notice has indeed been updated to say that Stagecoach will operate the 883 on behalf of Merseytravel from 23rd January 2017, with no changes to route or times. Good to know that it's not finishing after all. Presumably a last minute change of mind due to passenger feedback (which would explain why it isn't yet showing as registered on DVSA).

Yes, I think you're right - I vaguely remember an old bus map showing it going up the M57 from Tarbock Island to J2. I think it had been curtailed to Wilson Road by the time I moved here at the end of 2007, though not 100% sure.

Yes, I think you're right - I vaguely remember an old bus map showing it going up the M57 from Tarbock Island to J2. I think it had been curtailed to Wilson Road by the time I moved here at the end of 2007, though not 100% sure.
According the the VOSA Website the 883 was cut back from Prescot on 7th October 2012, later than i thought?

It was definitely much earlier than that, it would actually be the 2004 or 2006 change

Aye it was - I think the October 2012 change was when it became an all day service, previously it had operated in peak hours only.
I do have some old Joblink timetable pdfs on my PC, I'll have a check

Routes 832, 884 and 885 are withdrawn
Route 883 is revised to operate to/from Liverpool Airport
to Huyton Industrial Estate, no longer extending through
to Prescot. More timetabled journeys introduced.

I remember a few years back when HTL ran some journeys on the 75 between Halewood and Liverpool and used those long wheel base V EWP reg darts on them always used to ride those journeys on a Saturday.

First route I was ever taught that at HTL too, on my second morning working there, good memories :-)
Yes it used too. I may still have an old running board.

883 has come out as an emergency tender today. Deadline is tomorrow for tender submission.
