I was at Preston yesterday morning and Blackpool 449 was parked up with a Blackpool South label - did Northern forget to tell them the full service was running this week?

It's been reported 156447/9, 156465, 156485 and 156496 are to transfer to Northern from Scotrail in January next year

Confirming post 841 319373 has been moved from Long Marston to Wolverton Works for internal refurbishment.

It is believed 3 car GWR 150001 and 150002 will soon move to Northern on a hire agreement.

More cancellation again on Sunday with the added complication of Lime Street being closed. Trains only running hourly between Huyton and Wigan and also no direct Manchester Airport services from South Parkway/Warrington. Also only hourly service from Huyton to Manchester Oxford Road. What with strikes on Saturdays and masses of cancellations/reduced services on Sundays, the general message feels like don't bother trying to get anywhere at weekend.

Latest TfGM papers state the suspended CLC trains and hourly Manchester-Stalybridge services will not restart before December - that is new to me

Cancelled this morning unit failure - it is showing running the same for the rest of week, however it has been stated elsewhere that despite the electric timings it is actually cl.195 testing.
