RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - M113 YKC - 25/07/2013 18:45 DLA 4097 (S277 JUA) was being washed in Bootle depot this evening, so I'm presuming that it's a loan for the Merseyrail replacement services as it's the only DLA that I've seen on them recently. Also, Bootle have been operating the 781 school service since Southport took-over the other services as Marshall 7659 has been sitting in the same location in the depot for a few days displaying "SCHOOL SERVICE 781" (the destination is also programmed on the Hanover destination software). I think that 7659 operated the 781 on Friday of last week (the last day of schools in the Sefton area?) and hasn't been allocated out since then (hence the destination still displaying that). Finally, Plaxton Pointer 2 2218 was on the 52/52A this afternoon among one or two usual Enviro400s - including sluggish and awful-sounding 4415 - and 7649 was on the 53A. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - H101GEV - 25/07/2013 18:48 Another Enviro400 that sounds dodgy is 4431. I've had two rides on this one recently including this evening on the rail replacements and both times the cooling fans have been raging and there is an irritating ringing noise upstairs. Rides OK but doesn't sound healthy. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - H101GEV - 27/07/2013 21:14 4431 mightn't be great, but it's got nothing on 4420 which I had on the rail replacements today. This is an awful bus offering a rough, bouncy ride where every bump is felt, an interior that looked tired, was boiling hot and, like many of this ex-Birkenhead batch, absolutely stunk. These deckers haven't aged well for my money and it probably wouldn't be hyperbolic to suggest there are now more bad examples of these than good. Certainly 4416, 4418, 4420, 4431 and 4432 which I have ridden recently are all distinctly underwhelming considering their relatively young age. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - Neoplan N4009 - 27/07/2013 21:27 Not the biggest fan of 4432 myself , upstairs Is far too rattily which is quite a shock to be honest as you don't expect an upstairs of a vehicle to be bad , it's unfortunate ADL tampered with the gear ratios to be fair as the 58 reg Enviro seem to have more power than there 09 plate sisters RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - wirralbus - 27/07/2013 21:38 Where the early Enviro ratioed for there long section in the Mersey Tunnel dont forget both tunnels did have a long climb out from the river bed . RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - MPTE1955 - 28/07/2013 20:34 Anybody know what happened to the Last DLA's that Bootle had, including 4082 which I thought was one of their best, thanks in advance. RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - Fox - 30/07/2013 10:21 Running towards Liverpool: Service 53: Revised to operate via Lambeth Road, Great Homer Street and Norton Street to Queen Square. Service 55: Revised to operated via Scotland Road to Queen Square, omitting Norton Street. Services 56, 56A: Revised to operate via Scotland Road to Queen Square, omitting Great Homer Street and Norton Street. All journeys numbered 56. Services 311, 345 and 350: Revised to operate via Great Homer Street and Hunter Street to Queen Square. Running from Liverpool: Service 53: Revised to operate via Hunter Street, Great Homer Street and Lambeth Road. Service 55: Unchanged. Services 56, 56A: Revised to operate via Scotland Road. All journeys numbered 56. Services 311, 345 and 350: Revised to operate via Hunter Street, Great Homer Street. Could these changes be because of the Great Homer St regeneration scheme? RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - mr t - 30/07/2013 17:50 Its barely started yet, its more to do with the constant unreliability of these services due to the 2 tunnel entrances and Scotland Road constantly backing up, can be gridlocked at some peak times especially if there is an accident too, which means Bootle loses all its services! RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - MPTE1955 - 30/07/2013 18:16 Thanks to Bootle for no 61 turning up from Bootle for about an hours late this afternoon, 4413 eventually arrived with an ALX200 only for the ALX to layover and 4413 to pass out of service and then appear in service going through Old Swan after I had given up and went a different way. Still no sign of another 61 after I seen 4413, shocking, RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot - Harryn9000 - 30/07/2013 21:58 (30/07/2013 10:21)Fox Wrote: Running towards Liverpool: anyone no when this is happening it is bad goin into lpool via scotland road any time of the day tbh |
