Seems to be some confusion regarding the 08.07 and 19.07 ex Euston that normally don't call at Crewe - shown to call in the "Spanner in the works booklet", but not on the poster.

And just wondering why the 07.30 to Euston is showing no platform at Crewe, its the corresponding up train shown STP in 12 while occupied by 07.34 Birmingham via Salop.

How ling have they had to plan this?

The platforming at Lime St differs largely from the WTT platforming for the same reason because a lot of what is in the WTT can't be worked to

They say computers can work things out but they dont know of things that can happen on the day such as passenger illness , inward late running , any manner of things that sort of thing

Sit at Crewe long enough and you will see platform alterations because things are operated too tight with too little platform space .

True but it also doesn't help in the WTT when trains arrive in one platform then magically depart off a different platform or are planned to come into a platform they won't fit into

Very true but in this case impossible timings have been validated - another one is the ballast booked to reverse in 3c at Preston!

Those bay platforms are too small for ballast workings .

According to nationalrail an ECS derailed at Liverpool South Parkway - from maps looks to be stock for 20.32 to Newcastle or the 20.44 to Birmingham.

It was the latter of the two

Caused some Merseyrail 6 car workings between Chester and Liverpool to get very busy today and to make matters worse there was a track defect at Green Lane this afternoon.
