RE: North West Preserved Vehicles - 126th street - 07/08/2014 16:46 One of PMT's G-XRE Leyland Olympians has been preserved. I can remember several of these running from both Chester and Moreton about 10 years ago although whether this particular one did I don't know. They were proper motors and most capable of a spirited run, as I recall. Would be nice to see that see the light of day again and running again whatever it was RE: North West Preserved Vehicles - St Helens Rider - 08/11/2014 23:43 Blackpool Atlantean 362 restored http://fyldebus.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/blackpool-atlantean-362-restored.html Credit: Fylde Bus Blog. RE: North West Preserved Vehicles - St Helens Rider - 28/09/2015 13:15 This article covers the preserved vehicles which took part in Blackpool Trams 130. 130 Years of Blackpool's Trams http://fyldebus.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/130-years-of-blackpools-trams554.html Credit: Fylde Bus Blog. Highlight of the bus side of the weekend for me was Swift 554 (as you can probably guess from my chosen bus type) - it's amazing how St Helens and Blackpool chose the same type of single decker to launch their One Man Operations in the late 60's/early 70's. RE: North West Preserved Vehicles - NX Spectra 4001 - 18/10/2015 21:15 Not up in the North West, but down here in the Midlands, ex-Greater Manchester Transport Daimler Fleetline 2236 (RNA 236J) in Lichfield Bus Station today, while running a service from Aston Manor Transport Museum in Aldridge, and I must say, absolute beast of a bus! Albeit I was shook up after the 60mph zone on the A461, but oh well! https://www.flickr.com/photos/127701512@N04/22096111290/in/dateposted-public/ RE: North West Preserved Vehicles - ant17612 - 08/11/2016 17:44 Ex First Manchester Citaro 60283 is now preserved and heading to the Dewsbury Rally this weekend. |
