Although, I don't think it's technically legal for it to be used on a public bus service (unless it's classed as a coach) even if it makes more sense to use it than to cancel the service because a low floor bus isn't available. No problem with using actual Routemasters yet apart from the driver not being able to take fares! It is legal, you can use a non-DDA bus on a service for 14 days of the year (or if a DDA bus comes non-DDA due to a fault up to 28 days of rectification). Technically if you had 27 different bus services and used one DDA bus on each for the 14 days, then you could run a non-DDA bus for an entire year in service. |
