Since it replaced DB2 it never done that well from any time I seen it

DB2 was always busy in both directions but 26 seems to be always fairly empty full size buses...somehow I cant see the 26 being replaced

Very rare to see people on it. I think it did well as just the Guilden Sutton bus but then it became a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none, going everywhere as it started to cover bits being taken off the main bus network. Like the Boughton section, then Mill Lane.

I always got the impression that the 26 was merely keeping the buses busy between schools and the Upton High kids and the small bit of funding for Eport-Wervin kept the route viable. Now with the increased costs, the 26 just isn't worth it anymore. Be sad to see it go but I am surprised it has been kept going this long.
