Ashton and Hyde Road were having problems today as there roadworks with temporary lights at Junction of London Road and Fairfield Street causing major problems to services leaving Manchester.

Not sure which one but one of HE's MANs was out on 76 this afternoon in place of the usual Enviro400

One odd working today was of 17002 on 255s seen in Stretford this afternoon

[undefined=undefined]Sharston seem to be regular outputting MANs at the moment onto 85/86s, not sure if their short of Enviro400s at the moment[/undefined]

I have had a cynical theory. Maybe Stagecoach have found it handy to cascade some Enviro400s early, and are putting some MANs onto routes 85 and 86 so that passengers feel relieved and impressed when the E40D-MMCs arrive shortly! I was hoping to ride one immediately after Christmas, but I now realise this is looking unpromising.

Saw 19634 on the 330 yesterday.

17202 on 219 yesterday and 17200 on 231 today

They seem to using tridents as normal now with them appearing on regular services most weekdays. I know yesterday one Trident was on the 231 at lunchtime while the other was heading out of glossop on a 236.
Have the former JPT schools switched to Middleton now or do AZ still do them?

RE: Stagecoach Manchester - Mayneway - 21/11/2014 17:45

This might be a strange one but I noticed one of AZs standard 07 reg Enviro400's on the 231 today at lunchtime with the 'wifibus' logo on the windows above the wheel arches. Are stagecoach finally fitting wifi to standard vehicles or have these stickers been out on by mistake.
Unfortanatly I didn't get the fleetnumber.

From a distance, the front can be recognised by the larger fleet number, positioned just inside the blind aperture (ie. a few inches above the usual position atop the nearside windscreen.

Not sure as I was day dreaming waiting for my very late 168 to turn up. The bus had stopped infront on me but I only noticed the 'wifibus' stickers as it set off so double took and was only able to clock the first bit of the reg MX07.
I did compare it to the wifi stickers on the hybrids which are green but I'm fairly certain the sticker I saw was blue and white.

Given the number of standard Enviro400's appearing on the 219 these days I wonder if some are being fitted with wifi to keep regular passengers happy.
I'm in Ashton tomorrow so will keep an eye out for it.

19130's reg begins with VX?

19111 and 19120 are the two I have seen fitted with WiFi so far

Cheers Benzo I was starting to think id imagined it lol.

I wonder if wifi is being fitted to all vehicles or just some. I have noticed a few comments on twitter recently regarding the lack of wifi somedays on the 219 - presumably when diesel Enviro400s are used, although it would be great if it was rolled out on all vehicles but if it is then I'd say fares would deffinatly rise next April lol

19130 VX07 CYV WAS ORIGINALLY MEANT FOR MANCHESTER BUT WAS DIVERTED STRAIGHT TO SWINDON & DISTRICT.
