Like the idea for the X41. Similar idea to the X57 from a couple of years ago, although interesting that they numbered it X41 given that Transdev also run a X41 service nearby to/from Accrington and Blackburn.

Traveline website might need updating though, as it only lists the major stopping points plus an additional stop at the university. Stagecoach timetable lists the stopping points for the X41 as all stops between Altrincham and Northenden then Barlow Moor Road, West Didsbury (Lapwing Lane), The Christie Hospital, Withington Library, Fallowfield (Friendship Inn) Old Hall Lane, Rusholme (Job Centre) then all stops to Piccadilly.

So Stagecoach have taken the Sunday daytime 169 off Jpt. That's great news as I can now use my megarider on a Sunday instead of paying £1.90 or catching a 231 which takes twice as long, just a pity Stagecoach didn't get the 169 evening tender as well Smile
Will HE be operating it as during the week or could AZ be doing it?

As for the 216, is the frequency reduced in preparation for the metrolink?

Olympic buses starting to re-enter service in Manchester. 19478 and 19480 are out today.

At least 5 MAN ALX300s have transferred up to Carlisle today.

And 19482 and 19484. Some of the MAN's at Stockport[22139,22142,22143,22149 and 22160] are reportedly heading to new pastures further north any day, before all the Olympics buses are back.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester - ace - 16/08/2012 18:13

Not much time being wasted here then.
I think we knew before the Olympics, the old MAN's were leaving, as well as the Olympians, though I'm quite surprised at how quick everything's going. I wasn't expecting the Olympic buses to return for a week or two yet, then I thought it may have taken another couple of weeks before we started seeing the others depart.

Does that include those at Hyde Rd and Ashton? And the remaining few[3T's?] at Stockport
