I disagree.I think this IS the place to air such a view but agree with the rest of your sentence.

We have addressed this by putting the poster in question on moderation. I can only apologise for the insensitive posts of earlier today.

RE: Merseypride - mbonwick - 12/09/2012 19:59

I don't think there's anything for the moderation team to apologise for.

The only person coming out of this in a bad light is the poster, and they've only themselves to blame.
The only thing I regret is how off topic this has become.

With regards my comment about it not being the place gilbert, I was meaning this thread specifically; I have no qualms with raising the issue elsewhere but this thread should really be left for members to offer their condolences and any info they may have.

RE: Merseypride - H101GEV - 12/09/2012 20:15

To this end, I'd like to offer condolences of my own to everyone affected by this terribly sad incident.

RE: Merseypride - MPTE1955 - 12/09/2012 20:19

I would also like to offer my condolences to everybody involved in this truly shocking incident.

The BBC reported on Northwest Tonight this bus was coming back from the Isle of Wight yet bestivals in Surrey.

No standards bbc reporting yet again

Bestival is on the Isle of Wight, at Robin Hood Country Park

BBC also dragged up maintenance issues that resulted in problems with traffic commisioner NINE years ago! Relevance?

RE: Merseypride - Quackdave - 15/09/2012 21:07

I've been doing some research to try to figure out Merseypride's current operational fleet, and have come up with the following:

B183 BLG Leyland Olympian ONLXB/1R ECW H45/32F Red/White 12/84 10/12
NIL 8256 (C111 UBC) Scania N112DRB East Lancs H46/33F Red/Cream 06/86 03/13
LIL 9843 (E214 BOD) Neoplan N122/3 Neoplan Skyliner CH57/20Ct White 04/88 01/13
K18 CCL (K100 CAP) Volvo B10M-60 Plaxton Premiere 320 C53F White 04/93 12/12
R304 EEX Setra S250 Setra C44Ft White (blue/grey stripes) 06/98 ??/??
T35 DFC MAN 24.350 Jonckheere Monaco CH53/15Ft White 04/99 03/13

I've checked up on all the other vehicles I know of that Merseypride have operated in the past, and they are all either SORNed or unlicensed.

Anyone have any updates or amendments to that list?

RE: Merseypride - CX06 EBK - 15/09/2012 22:35

B183 BLG passed through Liverpool City Centre today sporting two freshly applied unpainted panels over the nearside wheelarches heading towards the north end of Liverpool, it was back in the depot just an hour or so later however.

Quackdave, they also own Dennis Dart / East Lancs EL2000 M226 AKB although not sure if this one is on a SORN now, SHE 621Y was also owned and operated up until recently but could again be withdrawn.
