RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - T42 PVM - 22/08/2012 06:38 one of their deckers was bricked yesterday, theres a photo somewhere on my facebook bus group that one of the locals uploaded RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - R879 HRF - 22/08/2012 08:45 275 was out yesterday, probably that one! Lovely buses, feel very heavy and lean like a ship going round corners, but have extra light power steering to compensate- fast indeed when they get going! 275 being my fave out of Fairbrothers trio too! RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - V671 DVU - 22/08/2012 17:00 Both 271 and 275 were out today, very nice to see them still earning their keep! RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - RSTurbo50 - 22/08/2012 19:15 Drove 275 in service today. Very very smooth bus and plenty of power. Little bit jerky at times but overall looks and sounds fantastic!!! RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - Valandil - 25/10/2012 01:58 From VOSA: PC1017925/9 - FAIRBROTHERS LIMITED, 3 BRATHAY CL, WARRINGTON, WA2 9UY Variation Accepted: Operating between Warrington Bus Station and Warrington Bus Station given service number 1C effective from 18-Dec-2012. To amend Timetable. No such change to the 21h though. I would have thought that if anything were to change it would be the withdrawal of the 21h! Also, I heard that there's a branded PoundRider ALX400 with this company now. I'm not currently in Warrington, so I haven't been able to verify this, but I'm sure it's not the kind of thing someone would make up :P RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - P450 SWX - 25/10/2012 06:33 Yes indeed V194 MEV I think it is but cant confirm RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - K853 MTJ - 25/10/2012 10:15 Yep, it is possibly getting converted to single door in the near future. More may also be on the way. RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - Valandil - 26/10/2012 07:49 So would this/these be replacing the current double deckers, or the single-deckers that were bought specifically for these routes (and are as far as I can tell otherwise pretty useless to the company)? RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - P450 SWX - 26/10/2012 08:14 Well when i visited the depot last sunday there was only 2 B6's there in poundrider 1 in Mcgills stuffed in corner palatines N271CKB was on Private Hire N275 CKB was parked next to a very sorry looking N277 CKB that looked in a bad state (I noticed the front set of seats downstairs had been removed and the bar between doors I wounder why) also parked was a plaxton coach in blue and white a L plate olympian (ex Fairway I am sure) and a F plate olympian that looked rebodied HTH RE: Fairbrothers of Warrington - J654UHN - 26/10/2012 10:32 0277 has a blown head gasket and is in the process of getting worked on. |
