Ah yes of course - good point. They'd be ideal really RE: ANW and ABW double decker influx - where next? - Barney - 29/03/2017 20:46 (29/03/2017 09:36)33109 Wrote: I'd guess the volvo B7s with the ALX400 bodies that transferred from southport - winsford will have a good few years life left yet. They're all on 55 plates (2005) are 10yrs old now, think the arriva withdrawal age is between 10&15 years??? Tempus fugit (time flies)! We are now in 2017 so that makes them getting on for 12 years old. Having said that, I remember them going into service about three years ago. RE: ANW and ABW double decker influx - where next? - 33109 - 30/03/2017 13:14 They've probably got another 6 or so years left then before withdrawal, winsford don't seem to have had too many issues so far. What'll be replacing the presidents at wythenshawe any news yet? Personally I don't think we have - there's a good few routes left in the North West that are desperately under capacity - with the 7, 8/9 and 53 being the priorities for me I think the 118/119 Mill Park - New Brighton should be a double decker RE: ANW and ABW double decker influx - where next? - T42 PVM - 14/05/2017 18:58 The 118/119 are Tenders so they hardly warrant Decker allocation RE: ANW and ABW double decker influx - where next? - 33109 - 14/05/2017 20:30 Possibly the 84 - crewe to chester. Gets very busy around rush hour with schoolkids & people heading to work. Also saturdays are mental. 38 - crewe to macclesfield, we've got 3 geminis but when 1 is off the road macc borrow a pulsar or centro but really we could do with a spare decker or 2 as cover. There's three Enviro400s due for Winsford from Wrexham when their Enviro400 Citys arrive RE: ANW and ABW double decker influx - where next? - 33109 - 14/05/2017 21:26 That's sumat I suppose, winsford need them. Being sapphire spec not sure which routes they'll be used on.
