What you find is that most people already do zone out from the constant messages on the PA. So much so that the more important messages get lost in the mix.

If the voice is so annoying to you all then write to Northern about it. After all the PIS message needs renewing in view of the change made to it.

319374 out in service again today and has done what it does best - failed,this time at Manchester Victoria so the 0902 from there to Lime St was cancelled as a result this off Allerton to replace it http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O97057/2016/05/27/advanced and then 319374 back to Allerton after having arrived attached to the 1002 Manchester Victoria-Lime St http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O97087/2016/05/27/advanced

Which unit has replaced 319374 today?

It is reported on a Yahoo website that the twelve Class 319 due to transfer to Northern later this year will be 319004/05 319218/19 and 319424/31/34/42/48/50/56/58.

Do we know where these will work and what they'll replace?

Mostly South Manchester services to replace the 323's which are going to London Midland.

I think some of them will work on the Liverpool-Blackpool North service and other will work on Manchester Victoria-Blackpool North service.

I thought the additional 12 were class 319/3 but not class 319/4 or class 319/2.

As Blackpool - Preston will only be ready in 2019 (Preston - Manchester a little sooner), these will be for Manchester - Crewe/Hadfield/Stoke to replace 323's.
