RE: Warrington Coachways - M60lad - 10/07/2014 06:31 From what I've heard from 27th that's it as I've asked a friend of mine at Network Warrington whether they'll be taking over the journeys or running extra 5s and they said they very much doubt Network Warrington would as the main reason they came off daytime 5s Mon-Fri was because they weren't making much money which is something I can agree with as I used to use the 5 regular during the day and there were sometimes during the day when it would leave Altrincham with only a handful or maybe less passengers on it. Also I've seen nothing registered on VOSA for a replacement service so I can see people in Altrincham having a nasty surprise from 27 some are expecting a replacement service from what I gathered when I was in Altrincham yesterday morning RE: Warrington Coachways - SF07 - 14/07/2014 18:37 Confirmation of the withdrawals of the 37, 37a and 38 services from 27 July on the TfGM website, although no replacement lined up yet. TfGM website states: "For details of replacement/alternative services please phone Traveline on 0871 200 22 33". http://www.tfgm.com/buses/Pages/service_changes.aspx RE: Warrington Coachways - M60lad - 15/07/2014 06:48 Just because it says 27 July I wouldn't go out in the hope of catching a 37/38 as knowing Warrington Coachways there's a chance they won't be running RE: Warrington Coachways - motormayhem1 - 15/07/2014 09:25 Well ive heard theres nothing left in there yard or office as everything as been stripped an cleared. RE: Warrington Coachways - RSTurbo50 - 15/07/2014 16:24 Nothing left in the yard now. All what was left has gone to the Tanseys site. RE: Warrington Coachways - motormayhem1 - 15/07/2014 17:37 So as warrington coachways been absorbed by tanseys or have they just changed the name as i noticed white volvo ps what warrington coachways had was branded up with tanseys legals. RE: Warrington Coachways - YN05 WKE - 15/07/2014 19:03 is this where we see Tansey register the 37/38 lol RE: Warrington Coachways - Mayneway - 15/07/2014 23:53 Isn't Tanseys another one of Warrington Coachways off shoots or is it a completely different operation. Didn't Warrington Coachways also operate a number of school services? What's happened to these? RE: Warrington Coachways - RSTurbo50 - 16/07/2014 18:28 Warrington Coachways or Bennetts purchased Tanseys over a year ago. Tanseys previously were well respected in the town and carried out private hire coach work. Warrington Coachways is no more. I believe that they no longer have any school work as these contracts have been secured by other operators such as Fairbrothers. Tanseys will only be doing private hire work from now on.. RE: Warrington Coachways - RSTurbo50 - 16/07/2014 18:29 One thing I will say is that in terms of private hire work, Bennetts always did a decent job. |
