They're for the 55. Presumably they're replacing the depot's oldest Pulsars (2644/62-4) which would go to Chester to release their remaining Eclipses (2795/7-9) for driver training vehicle conversion
Winsford's solitary Eclipse (2794) is due to be converted to a driver training vehicle as well

Thank you for the reply, and so quickly at that.
Ironically, one reason I went to Leicester last Saturday was to ride an Arriva Enviro 400-MMC, as these were the only ones any nearer than Essex & Herts. It was still worth the visit for these and other rare Arriva buses though.

Having been away for a few weeks taking in the sun I have a question. How long have have the 61 and 68 been diverted away from Broad Green Road?

The 68/68A has not served Broadgreen Road in the northbound direction since October last year. This is to reduce the impact of delays the roadworks on Edge Lane are having on the route - once the roadworks are completed the 68/68A will return to its normal route. The southbound journeys still operate via Broadgreen Road
I don't know about the 61 although I'd imagine it's for a similar amount of time and the same reason

Noticed tonight that 2708 has been repainted into the new livery in house! Think it got a bit damaged the other day.
