RE: Arriva NW X & Y Reg Wright Renowns / Volvo B10BLE - T42 PVM - 01/12/2015 14:08 I would of thought so yes RE: Arriva North West Volvo B10BLEs - SK15 GZG - 01/12/2015 14:19 Considering that new stock is due to start arriving around April next year I would say the remaining Renowns have six months left in service at the very most. My guess would be that the Myllenniums will be withdrawn from traffic before the Renowns - but we'll have to wait and see what happens. It's just a shame 2721 was lost to fire as that was a fantastic bus without any shadow of doubt At least some of the Renowns will remain with Arriva as DTVs RE: Arriva North West Volvo B10BLEs - RedPanda - 01/12/2015 14:38 (01/12/2015 14:19)SL64 JDZ Wrote: Considering that new stock is due to start arriving around April next year I would say the remaining Renowns have six months left in service at the very most. The only problem I had with them was the Y-reg examples that Green Lane had before they went to other depots were in dire need of a refurbishment - but considering how close they are now to being withdrawn from traffic I can't see it happening unfortunately. Hopefully some of them are sold on for further use as I think they've certainly got a few years left to go yet - especially considering that some of the ex-CMT Buses/Glenvale S-KCW Renowns (which are now over 17 years old) are still in service with independents today RE: Arriva North West Volvo B10BLEs - RedPanda - 01/12/2015 15:12 (01/12/2015 14:57)SL64 JDZ Wrote: Me too. I always think that pulsars are about to die as they leave a stop or pull away from traffic lights. Totally agree that they are better than any pulsar in the fleet and anything else for that matter bar the odd commander. I haven't got a favourite but I have saw a few that shows where the Arriva stickers used to be on the front or the bumper is a different colour, looks rather scruffy as it doesn't work with the buses' livery.
