I think the problem now with bus driving in general is it's seen as a job and not a career. I only several people in there 20's who went into bus driving and less than 3 years later had moved on to other things. I think people certainly younger want 9-5 hours working Monday to Friday and with bus driving it's anything but. RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - Garsty - 13/07/2016 18:03 A few rumours on Twitter of drivers reporting they have been told that GHA is now in administration. Nothing official of course. Does it affect their services in cheshire/gtr manchester area work? RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - Garsty - 13/07/2016 19:36 Will be affecting all services. Update from Denbighshire: https://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/en/resident/news/July-2016/Important-information-services-provided-by-GHA-Coaches.aspx Stagecoach covering some routes! RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - YN05 WKE - 13/07/2016 19:38 I hope all staff find new jobs RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - motormayhem1 - 13/07/2016 19:52 I cant understand why they didn't just get rid of the less profitable routes and just decrease the size of the company to a size in which they can manage and slowly start a rebuild program and ask drivers for there input and what they would change and reasons for wanting to leave. |
