Probably didn't help their case running high floor buses and buses with no destinations breaching contractual agreements when they have low floor buses they could use.

Fairbrothers of Warrington would run this superbly..

I hope whoever gets the contract manages to use buses with destination equipment rather than boards in the window, it comes across as unprofessional at the best of times.

What I find bizarre with the Primos (speaking of which, they all seem to have dissapeared completely from the 157 now with the ex-Howard's Travel Dart and M89 DEW making up part of the daily allocation instead) is that they started out (or at least YX60 BZM did having come from Fairway) with working and programmed LEDs only for them to become permanently blank after a reasonably short period of time with boards replacing them. A shame as it looks abhorrently less professional.

The one saving grace of using M89 DEW is that, as it comes from Hattons, it has a full set of relevant destinations on the roller blind so the correct destination can be shown visibly.

Merseytravel website suggests both 156AM and 256 will resume tomorrow...

Route 256 in the St Helens area - Route 256, which runs between Garswood and Ashton-in-Makerfield, is suspended today. The service will start running again tomorrow.
Route 156 in the St Helens area - Route 156 buses departing Garswood to Ashton at 0707 and from Ashton to St Helens at 0810 are suspended today. These services will start running again tomorrow.

Doesn't say who will be operating them though!

I noticed that there was no mention of the 157 which Warrington Coachways run under contract to Merseytravel!

Who runs the 0758 from Downall Green to St Helens Bus Station?

Was Warrington Coachways.

Did Warrington Coachways operate two buses for the morning 156 as some of the times overlap one another?
