191, isn't that a Gemini? Definitely unusual to have a Gemini in Earlestown!

RE: WBT Network Warrington - motormayhem - 06/02/2013 08:55

It seems to be on there 1 or 2 trips in the morning them deckers.

One of the deckers was a trident this morning as seen it at winwick at 09:08 going to warrington past B+Q, think it was 155.

Yes its one of the new geminis they have got. They are excellent vehicles too, some of the best geminis I've rode on tbh.

24 was in service today (8 Feb.), seen on the 4A

This appears to be a Network Warrington bus:

Thanks to St Helens Rider for the following from the VOSA thread:
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travelling-around/timetables/AllTimetables/329%20St%20Helens%20-%20Warrington%20or%20Daresbury%20(from%2017%20March%202013).pdf

Interesting that the 329 is to be half-hourly on a Sunday: I'd have thought it would be hourly and they'd try to interwork it.

I also think that some of the timings might be far too tight to make the Daresbury extension feasible for workers, given that the route gets gridlocked in the morning peak.

From the route description and map, it looks like it won't stop at Walton (for Walton Gardens), though will no doubt observe the stop on the main road.

Some drivers don't seem to think they are excellent. As I was getting off 188 yesterday (18 Feb.), I overheard one driver tell 188's driver "I've just had one of those heaps, too."

And when I was on 189 last week, a plastic cover over the strip lighting upstairs came loose and hit me on the head (no damage to me, fortunately).

I would take just two drivers opinion on them with a pinch of salt.

Granted being hit with the plastic cover is not very good! From my experience on them they provide an excellent ride, certainly better than the V reg b7's they have.
