He means the cadets when new and got allocated to runcorn.
They where well under powered for the work and loadings they were doing as they are just not suitable for city loadings.

Yes we got 2514/15/16 then 2520 to 2555 should have got the whole batch but by reducing the 82A from 3 buses per hour to 2 company was able to save 3 buses, So 2517/18/19 went to Bootle Depot
