Went to Speke yesterday and noted 4561 4562 and 4563 at the front. Behind 4561/2 there was a line of about 4 new enviros . Pic can be seen here:

Also whilst I was walking to the depot 4556 passed me on trade plates.

Went to Speke myself on sunday i saw 4562 at front of depot with an ALX400 on one side of it and a Gemini 2 on the other side will upload photo when i get chance 4562 and co are waiting for 1st Sept to be registered so will be on the new 64 plate but two have already been registered on 14 plates for driver familiarisation.

Interesting to see the seats on these new enviros come without headrests. Am I right in saying these are e-leather?

Phil,

Yes they have eLeather seating, looks to be the same dark blue eLeather used on the X1 Pulsars and the Cross River Hybrids.

It's interesting to note that these vehicles have more opening windows on the top deck. The most recent batches of deckers can be very uncomfortably hot because of the lack of opening windows. No doubt Arriva have responded to these complaints.

It's odd as the downstairs seats on the Sapphire Enviro400s look to be the same as those used in First's 2012/13 Enviro300s, unless the type of eLeather used is slightly different.

The Sapphire Enviro400s upstairs seats though...I wouldn't object to an office chair in the same style... Big Grin LOL
