N216TDU (I think) seemingly abandoned on Crow Lane in Newton, was there when I passed about 1pm and still there half an hour ago. Guessing it has broken down but they can't get it picked up until tomorrow with it being a Sunday?

Plaxton Presidents Y47 ABA and Y48 ABA have passed to Wigan Coachways, Once they are repainted they will enter Service and replace the last 2 B10M's (N216 TDU and N551 VDC)

These Buses where new to Blue Bus of Bolton in April 2001 and passed to Arriva with the sale of Blue Bus in July 2005, The old manager of Blue Bus is the current Wigan Coachways manager so they are back to their first owner.

Did one of these catch fire (or set on fire)? Or am I thinking of Y46 ABA?

RE: Wigan Coachways - T42 PVM - 31/07/2015 17:47

Think it was Y47 ABA that caught fire back in Blue Bus Days

RE: Wigan Coachways - VolvoB10M - 31/07/2015 23:15

Does it now have a different interior to Y48 ABA?

RE: Wigan Coachways - SLTRegular - 01/08/2015 02:41

The Rumours are true about the Y-ABA's glad there coming home Smile let's see if the other rumour is true Wink

V41DJA also caught fire but that was Whilst at Skem Depot it was also the only V plate Oly

Won't be the first bus that has come back home as not forgetting the East Lancs Olympian Roger bought was actually new to Bluebus as we all know

RE: Wigan Coachways - VolvoB10M - 01/08/2015 18:15

Does anyone know what the intentions are for M56? To my knowledge it is the only one of its kind (making it as rarer than SN56 AWX) and IMO would be a shame to scrap it.

Couple of changes to Wigan Coachways Services coming up:

132 Wigan - Atherton, from 02/09/15 the trip will be extended to finish in Tyldesley
352 Wigan - Orrell, from 30/08/15 it appears there will be a slight Timetable change
